Healthy Peanut Butter Balls

Looking for an easy, on the go snack? These peanut butter balls are easy to make and packed full on nutrition. They are nutrient dense, providing a source of essential nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and protein. For both children and adults.

Makes ~12 peanut butter balls. 1 ball per serving. 100 kcals & 3 grams protein each

What you will need for ingredients:

  • 1 cup old fashioned quick or regular oats, dry

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter or your choice of nut butter

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Combine ingredients all together in a large bowl and mix until combined. Put in the fridge for 30-45 minutes to chill. Roll into 1½ - 2 inch balls with hands.

Note, I use a combined chia seed/flaxseed mix and do 4tbsp of that. I like Adam’s Smooth Peanut Butter, you may use what you prefer. Different nut butters will have different consistencies so you have to add more oats if it becomes too runny, or add more nut butter if they do not bind well when rolling them into balls.

Additional toppings: chocolate chips, blueberries, raspberries, raisins, cranberries etc…
